2016 Merlot
Grapes that was used to make this wine was sourced from vineyards in the Hunter Valley NSW. Fermented in specially made open stainless steel tanks under controlled conditions. Aged in oak barrels for 16 months in 1 year old barrels prior to bottling. Merlot has the softest tannin and when combined with almost berry like flavours and the oak it gives the impression of some sweetness. It is well balanced rounded easy drinking red wine. Easy to drink when eating any food but is really suited to any Veal or Pasta based dishes
